It's absurd.   If for no other reason than people lie.  I frequently don alternate personas here.  Sometimes I'm a man, sometimes I'm a woman.  Sometimes I'm black, sometimes I'm white.  Sometimes I'm a ranting athiest, sometimes I accuse others of being a ranting athiest.  Sometimes I have one boy, sometimes I have 5 kids.  Sometimes I'm from Ward 3, sometimes I'm from Ward 8.  And I can't be the only one.  [/quote]

Well, you have certainly opened my eyes to DCUM this morning! Seriously, I knew people could have off days or rant more than usual, but it did not occur to me that people would adopt alternate personas. Guess I'm too trusting. [/quote]

? I'm with 8:15 on this. Don alternate personas? What's the constructive outcome you're aiming for with alternate personas? If it's venting, then do you think it might be better to address the core issues more directly, say, through therapy? I'd be very concerned about any family member or friend who was posting anywhere under alternate personas. That just doesn't seem to be a very healthy way to resolve your life issues.[/quote]
