Clinton caused 911 due to sacrificing defense and intelligence funding for a surplus in government funding. note the chart and how bush fixed the first recession even with the double wammy of 911 and .com crash. obamas policies or just the perception in the business world of obama had caused the economy to go the wrong way Everyone hated bush and blames him for everything, when we look back at this in 20 years we will learn obama was the problem and bush was not bad at all
There is not an economist around who blames Obama for the Great Recession, which started under Bush's watch. Even the Republican candidates do not blame him. Rommey's argument is that, under Rommey, the economy would have turned around quicker. That is a different argument. But your chart fails to note that those jobs losses in the early Obama Admin are attributable to Great Recession. Bush was President from January 2001 to January 2009. As noted at 2152, from February 1, 2001 to January 31, 2009, the US economy had net job growth of only 1.1 Million, and the private sector had a NET JOB LOSS of 500,000. That is one of the worst economic performances in decades. The Bush Adminisration created no private sector jobs; it supported a huge increase in govt jobs, much of which was probably justified based on 911. But to say the Bush Administration had a terrific jobs records is simply false.
Simply False? More like fucking false. Bush had one of the worst job creation records in modern day presidencies. Where do folks get their info? By WSJ Staff President George W. Bush entered office in 2001 just as a recession was starting, and is preparing to leave in the middle of a long one. That’s almost 22 months of recession during his 96 months in office. His job-creation record won’t look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton‘s administration and only slightly better than President George H.W. Bush did in his four years in office.
