Hmmmmm. OP here. Much food for thought. It’s my third child, so it’s my last chance to really choose! My husband and I battled it out for the last two. Okay, so the bottom line seems to be that Paloma is divisive, Juliet is good but trendy, and Alice is a dark horse, along with Gwendolyn. I am going to have to puzzle this one more. What do people think is a good middle name for Juliet?
Who won those battles? If he's picked the first two kids' names, it's your turn. If you have named the first two, it's his turn. If you each got one, back to the drawing board. I don't think Paloma is divisive, I think DCUM only likes "ethnic" names if the ethnicity screams Whitey Von Whiterson. They'll recommend Aoife and Linnea and then tell you "ugh, naming a kid Paloma is like naming her Margarita" without even realizing they're outing themselves as ignorant drunks.
Well Paloma is a Spanish name most popular in Spain, a country full of white people, so perhaps it's you outing yourself.
