It’s crazy how much such a small group of people unreasonably hate Hogan. All just because he doesn’t have a D next to his name.
Correct. I hate him because he is a republican. I hate ALL republicans. Period. Not really sure why this perplexes people like you.
Wow - you waste all of that energy on hate? Be the change that you want to see and channel that energy differently. This is such a sad, depressing way to live.
DP- Hogan is one of the few republicans I don’t hate actually. That doesn’t mean I like him, he’s had his moments but really abdicated his leadership partway into the pandemic. But he’s not vile, which means his presidential ambitions are over even before they begin.
I'm a lifelong Dem. My feelings about Hogan run the gamut, and on any given day might be anything from respect to loathing. He did a good job managing the pandemic at the beginning and I am grateful for that. On the other hand, at other crucial times, his boastful messages did not align with facts and were given at times when honestly could have saved lives. Examples of this came as he eased back restrictions last fall, painting a picture throughout the fall that he had successfully managed the state out of the pandemic when cases were actually rising. Rather than claiming credit for reduced cases, a true leader would have tried to keep cases low. Yesterday, watching his press conference, he noted that "we had been predicting a winter surge." He certainly wasn't speaking about it publically in a way that urged people to use extra caution as the weather turned colder.
