I have the normal / not opposite problem:  wife rarely interested. Sometimes says ‘just get it over with.”

Took this forums advice and did more housework, dates, encouraged her to have girls night / weekends out, took on even more responsibility for kid raising. Got to my own doctor, followed her advice and I am in the best shape of my life.

Listened to my wife  and responded.  Renovated the house. Took her on vacays. Encouraged her on every idea she came up with.

Still nope.

Turns out:  she is not interested after all I did; she just does not want sex with me or anyone anymore; and she is not happy with her own body/weight after 2 kids (but she doesn’t want to cut back on eating or to do enough hard exercise combined with fewer calories).

It makes a lot of sense not to want sex when one is beyond childbearing age if you think about it. Unsure why people feel weird about saying this out loud. I like sex still, but I never think about it when I am not having it (with DH). My body is not telling me to reproduce anymore...[/quote]
