no, that's just your wife's problem. Or maybe she doesn't like you anymore? IDK. But, not all 40s women who have good looking DHs, and who are sweet to their wives, lack sex drives.

If my DH was hot and sweet to me and a good person, I'd be all over him.

My DH is not hot, but he is good to me; I like him as a person, and I love him. We still have sex, and we're in our 50s. When I was in my late 30s, early 40s, and, I was stressed out, frustated with DH, young kids, working FT, commuting 1+ hour, then no, I didn't want to have sex with him. I'd rather sleep.

Testosterone levels in modern teens/men have dropped. I am not aware of solid science proving the definite cause.

2 probable causes are:

- tap water containing treated waste water, which often contains birth control pill hormones (google it if you doubt it). Or

- soy. Soybeans have a demonstrated negative effect on T levels in men.

There may be other food-borne chemicals at work, but that’s probably true for all sorts of “modern” trends, like earlier first menses in girls, ADHD, allergies, etc. have you read the ingredient labels on processed foods lately?

It makes a lot of sense not to want sex when one is beyond childbearing age if you think about it. Unsure why people feel weird about saying this out loud. I like sex still, but I never think about it when I am not having it (with DH). My body is not telling me to reproduce anymore...
