Those who don’t want to vaccinate should learn virtually.
+1
Sure. That makes sense. When it’s the vaccinated athletes spreading Covid through my kids’ high school.
There's an outstanding explanation of base rate bias in this tweet thread from the Baltimore City Health Department. With gifs! https://twitter.com/BMore_Healthy/status/1471500092947320849
Nothing there really applies to our kids. The risk for a 7 year old is much different than the risk to a 67 year old. And it is reasonable to take that into consideration. Which is why anyone pushing for a vaccine mandate for kids is in the wrong.
It applies to comments like "it's the vaccinated athletes spreading covid through my kids' high school". Now, if you think that the risk of the vaccine is greater for your 7-year-old than the risk of the vaccine-preventable disease, I really don't know what to tell you, other than that you should prepare yourself for the possibility of a vaccine requirement.
Lol. How can you pretend that the Covid vax is necessary for a 7 year old with any amount of certainty? Even the FDA made some comments regarding that not being true. And there are plenty of experts here in the US saying that it is debatable. Other countries have come out and just decided not to vaccinate kids under age 12. You know, places that actually consider what is best for our kids and not just places that do what is best for Pfizer’s bottom line. Get back to me in 2 years when we have more data.
