Where are the Asian American population in HoCo? My Asian American friend frequently post pics of her kids doing things and they are always the only Asian family in the pictures. When I’m in Columbia, I don’t see many Asian families. Go to Rockville/North Potomac and you see a ton of Asian American families.
North (Ellicott City) and South/West (Fulton, North Laurel, Clarksville). Asians are much less likely in central county (Columbia) than in the north and south parts of the county.
Are you kidding with this? Hoco has a HUGE Asian population. Route 40 is called Korean Way...there is an actual sign erected. Many Korean churches, many Korean businesses. There is an entire floor in a rehab center in Columbia devoted only to Korean patients. Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, in Fulton, near Maple Lawn, and all the Baltimore universities employ many people of Chinese descent, so much so that several high schools have a predominantly Asian population. There is also a huge South Asian population in Columbia, Ellicott City, and Fulton. Did you do any research before posting this? Are you basing this on one outing you took to one place?
Did you read? The area you call Korean way is in Ellicott City. The area around JHU APL is the Fulton, North Laurel, Clarksville area. Looking at Demographics statistics, about 30% of the population of Ellicott City is Asian. About 12% of Columbia is Asian. About 15-18% of North Laurel/Fulton/Clarksville is Asian. Yes, there is a higher density of Asians where I said, Ellicott City and South/West.
I was addressing the first poster and your answer was under and wasn't clearly deilineated.... Calm down. This wasn't hard to surmise.
