...all this talk about retaining players. How many boys currently play on 08, 07, 06, 05, 04 ECNL teams that played with Vienna U9-U12? Maybe 1 or 2 Max per age group. Maybe none in same age groups. Any age groups with more than 2? Good luck in competing with one ECNL level player per age group.
Not sure about the other age groups, but I think: '06, 4 solid players left VYS for ECNL teams Arlington - 2 (this team won the national championship last year for U15) McLean - 2 '05, VYS has lost at least 5 05 players to ECNL teams BRYC - 2 McLean - 2 VDA - 1 '04: Bethesda - 1 And these were all top players at the club.
I get what you are trying to say. I must correct a few of your comments: 1) Arlington 06 has shown themselves to be a middle of the road ECNL team. 2) Not sure what total number of VYS 06s who have moved to MYS over the years is but don’t think some of them are participating in ECNL play for VA United/MYS 3) There are 3 former 06 BRYC ECNL players on 06 VYS now so there is some movement of talent in the other direction as well. (VYS and BRYC 06 ECNL are pretty evenly matched.) 4) There may be 2 05 VYS players on 05 BRYC ECNL. There is also a former 06 VYS player on 05 BRYC ECNL.
