My friends in Europe all spent much of their youth away at boarding school, fwiw.  And 3 of them are pretty messed up and don’t have a good relationship with either parent.[/quote]

Yeah this generalization of “europe” being so much more enlightened about sexual mores is a little obnoxious. First of all because Europe is a big place with many different cultures, and also because just because something is European doesn’t make it better. Take, for instance, the Dutch and their common attitude toward race. No thank you. [/quote]
