2 months ago our puppy came via a flight nanny service. I think we paid $550. She traveled in the cabin (with a littermate going to Detroit actually). Ours came from Tennessee. We were originally going to pick her up (8 hour drive) but the weekend she was available was bad for us and we didn’t want to wait another week. They flew TN to Atlanta. Atlanta to dc and then they were going dc to Detroit. They sent us videos throughout. We met the guy transporting her at baggage claim and paid him in cash. The flight nanny services fly stand by and usually have several layover both for cost savings for them and because the puppy gets breaks.
I’m the pp whose in laws show dogs and this is what they did too. It’s better than having your husband and kid do it because the flight nanny is experienced and they know all the big stopover airports and where to take the dog out etc.
