DCPS has not said much about [b]grandfathering[/b].  On one slide it seems like it would be something they still need to decide, and they note the pluses and minuses of more or less [b]grandfathering[/b].  On another they seem to say that they might do what they did with the boundary process, which was to give 3 years and let siblings feed to the same school.  So who knows?[/quote]

Use the term legacy. It's more accurate.

Grandfathering/grandfather clause is from post Civil War voter suppression of Black men while letting poor white men vote. [/quote]
