WTU made the decision to sue DCPS to prevent an in person return to schools. Decision.
^^^ Good - because WTU's job is to protect their membership which are our teachers. We should all want to protect them because they are the ones who protect our kids.
It's a stupid thing to sue over. Are they suing because teachers basically should not accept any risk whatsoever, ever, unlike most of the rest of society? Go to work.
Idiots don’t even have the right info and are droning on about teachers. Take care of your kids! Teachers job is to teach. If your kid is behind, get tutoring or maybe they need an IEP.
I agree - the teacher’s job is to teach. All the kids in their room - even the one who are behind. And if they are behind, it’s the teacher’s job to help figure out why. Perhaps they do need an IEP (such a lovely tone to this part of your post). Perhaps there is another problem at school like bullying. Or just perhaps the teacher is not teaching well enough to reach the student. Do you always deflect to the IEP when one of your students is behind?
