What a dumb comment.

If by Northwest you mean WOTP then that would accomplish almost nothing as police officers are not deployed based on population or geography but crime rates and with WOTP being extremely safe it has very light police staffing.

Of course actual NW DC is everything north of the mall and west of N. Capital street so that includes a bunch of neighborhoods that in fact need a lot of policing to deal with both tricky neighborhoods and traffic issues.

FWIW the SE quadrant already has a disproportionate share of MPDs staffing.

So your solution is to just hire everyone in SE & NE to work for the police - how exactly would that work and how would that be paid for?[/quote]
