What on earth are you talking about?  Mom of August boy here who’s not redshirting.  What do you think kids learn in kindergarten?  It’s not like they’re missing a year of medical residency here![/quote]

The vast majority of these kids have been to preschools, they're coming into kindergarten already knowing all of their letters, numbers, etc. Many are fully reading. Kindergarten is more for social experience. There's no testing or anything at the kindergarten level. Zero reason to redshirt unless there are some serious learning disabilities going on, and even then, just get an IEP.[/quote]
