5' 0" with three girls. Hope to god they make it to over 5'3". My height is a problem EVERY SINGLE DAY because the typical height at which they hang kitchen cabinets means I can't reach further than the bottom shelf. I can't chop things on the counter or stir things on the stove for a long time without having to lift my shoulder above a comfortable height, and over time I've developed repetitive stress injury from other similar tasks. And I can't reach the top shelf in most grocery stores, I often have to ask random strangers to get things down for me. Being short is literally a pain, so yes, I hope my kids are taller! At least close to average height!
NP adding in that buying clothes is a pain, even petites are too long and you need to be a seamstress, or have the money to pay one, for clothes to be decently-fitting. Additionally, driving. In a regular 4-door sedan, like a Honda Accord, I sit there feeling submerged. Took me a while to find a car that was a good size for my family, and that I was comfortable driving. The other car issue is a safety one, if you have to move the seat up in order to reach pedals, you may be too close to the air bag.
You need to add a driving pillow under your butt. You need to be able to see the tip of your car front, in order to be driving safely.
