It was not a conversation.  It was an email with no opportunity for them to converse. Email is the worst possible way to communicate sensitive issues. The parent should have known better and should not expect a manager to be her confidant. [/quote]

Your manager sucks. I know you don’t like the particular parent but frankly none of you should know about this at all. A manager should show discretion and tact. If she talks about the parent behind their back she’ll talk about you behind yours. [/quote]
