I do think OP has a right to be bothered. You probably shouldn’t have invited her in the first place.

I’m very good friends with 4 other moms. We also have newer friends and parents of my children’s friends. I make a conscious effort to include the new people if I invited them to my home. It is called being a good host. A few of these friends are a bit exclusive. They don’t have to necessarily make an effort to talk to people they don’t know but I, the host, should.[/quote]
