2013 28-32

As I said before, I was looking at the CDS the school reports, which report 29-31 for 2018, lower than the 2017 numbers you cite.  And citing admitted students doesn't help anything, as the fact that some kids may use the school as a safety doesn't help.  It does seem to be growing somewhat less selective based solely on admit rates.

None of this means Oberlin is not a great education.  But they may be worth further exploration.[/quote]

Can you link to the CDS you are citing?  The one I looked at http://www2.oberlin.edu/instres/irhome/www/cds/cds_explain.html didn't seem to have any ACT numbers, although I may have missed them.

Also, if you are trying to claim going from 28-33 to 29-31 is a drop when talking about 800 students in a one-year sample, well that is statistically unsound.  You could just as easily say they are better because there are fewer at the bottom.

Please also don't forget these statistics are being discussed in the context of the claim that Oberlin is somehow less desirable because of the political activities of some of its students.  That dog don't hunt.[/quote]
