Your insecurity - your college rejection - is showing.

For some reason, the admissions page takes a long time to load, so that may have been why you did not see them.
Again, ti is worth investigating, particularly since other well regarded SLACs appear to be getting higher, and in some cases substantially higher over the same period.
And as for whether the dog hunts, how do you explain the increase in admission rates? It is not unreasonable to surmise that some of the activism, particularly as portrayed in the media, has dissuaded some quality candidates.

ACT scores:
2013 28-32
2017 28-33
2018 (admitted students) 30-34
Yep, totally going down!
As I said before, I was looking at the CDS the school reports, which report 29-31 for 2018, lower than the 2017 numbers you cite. And citing admitted students doesn't help anything, as the fact that some kids may use the school as a safety doesn't help. It does seem to be growing somewhat less selective based solely on admit rates.
None of this means Oberlin is not a great education. But they may be worth further exploration.

Just do a cursory search and you’ll find lawsuits, budgetary shortfalls, administration misadventures, student hysteria.....not isolated incidents. If that’s the environment you seek then by all means apply but go in with open eyes and don’t listen to some random alums in denial.

How likely would NYU be for my DS - full pay, solid B, 1250, early decision?
DS is planning to apply to Oberlin if he gets rejected from NYU.
I know I'm generalizing here, and may just plain be partly wrong.
My feeling is that NYU still has a reputation for being a school for unserious trust fund babies. But, if it's so hard to get into, maybe getting good grades there is pretty hard.
If a student might have to work hard to get good grades at an expensive school with an iffy academic reputation, maybe the student would be better off at a different school.
Example: If what your son likes about NYU is the idea of going to a private school in the middle of New York, how about the New School? It looks as if the average SAT score for the New School is about 1200.
If your son is more business-oriented, PACE University has an average SAT score of about 1100, and it has a campus right by City Hall in New York.
NYU had 75,000 applicants for the class of 2018 and a 19% acceptance rate. The median SAT was 1440 and the typical student had an A/A- average. Some posters have dated information. Getting into NYU has gotten significantly harder over the last 5 years.
