I think she bases it on the fact that KGES was #84 on a list of composite SOL scores for 100 NoVa schools, lower than any other McLean ES.   There are more than 100 ES in NoVa, however, and other schools weren't included on the list.

Some school has to have the lowest score in McLean on a standardized test.  KGES is never at the top, but isn't always at the bottom, either.  [/quote]

Thank you for explaining that to me.  I couldn't fathom how anyone would state that Kent Gardens is one of the lowest performing schools in all of NoVA.  As you point out, there are far more than 100 elementary schools, as there are 139 ES in Fairfax, 52 ES in Loudoun, 21 ES in Arlington, 13 ES in Alexandria, and even more in Falls Church City, Manassas Park, etc.[/quote]
