KGES is the lowest performing schools in McLean and has been for some time. In fact, it is one of the lowest peforming schools in all of Northern VA. Why would you think that a parent who has done the research to prove the facts has an ax to grind or is obsessed? She wants parents to know that their attention should be on improving the school and not raising money for programs that are not helping the children learn what they need to learn to reach their fullest academic potential.

The school brings in $350K in PTA funds, probably the largest PTA budget of all McLean schools............being rich does not cover up being dumb. Whose fault is this? The Principal has known all along that the peformance of the students aren't up to snuff, but there has been no significant changes to improve the performance of the students. There has been no changes in how the budget is spent to help the kids close the gap. McLean parents should smarten up and make sure their PTA money is being spent where it makes the most impact in the education of their children. If they had known the facts earlier, they might have responded earlier.

This is long over due. KGES needs an Egyptian-style revolution.[/quote]
