Do most Heights and St. Albans boys play for Next Level as Mitchell and Heeter are coaches for those teams respectively. Really what I’m asking is if my son goes to one of these schools and stays with his current club team, would that hurt his chances of starting or getting playing time?
If he's going to go STA or H, why wouldn't you move him to NL?
Different question - can Heeter help with admissions at sta for a good player at next level?
Doubt it unless the kid has a lot of things going for him like being a minority, being super rich, already having siblings at the school or went to Beauvoir. STA doesn't do the athlete thing nearly as much as other schools. He's only a coach and not a part of the faculty or anything else.
Agreed that STA does not do the “athlete thing” as much as other schools. But I know for a fact travel team coaches from soccer and baseball have called up their coaching counterparts at STA and even the AD to try to help with the admissions process. For sure, the kid has to be in he academic ballpark, but in a town full of high scoring kids, a coach especially at a place like STA which has seen its sports glory days in he rear view mirror, a coach’s rec even if only slightly connected to the school can make all the difference in the world.
