NL is fairly honest in saying new kids have to better than those already on the team and try to be balanced in how they juggle existing players and families and new ones. That said, they have fallen prey to some poor judgement. They mysteriously allowed 4(?) "future gap year" kids to play down this past summer season on a high school level team. The kids didn't perform any better than those on the roster and didn't result in any success. The parents were po'd and the kids were no longer on the team as quickly as they came.

And you're just a dick. It was a reasonable reply to the thread.

Correction: Summer tryouts were by invitation only. They have all class tryouts over the next few weeks.
You are an idiot. Those "summer tryouts by invitations" were because NL had lots of holes on their teams and were trying to fill in needed gaps. Of course those weren't the real tryouts.

Really what I’m asking is if my son goes to one of these schools and stays with his current club team, would that hurt his chances of starting or getting playing time?
If he's going to go STA or H, why wouldn't you move him to NL?
Different question - can Heeter help with admissions at sta for a good player at next level?
Doubt it unless the kid has a lot of things going for him like being a minority, being super rich, already having siblings at the school or went to Beauvoir. STA doesn't do the athlete thing nearly as much as other schools. He's only a coach and not a part of the faculty or anything else.

Different poster and I like the NL program - but they just can’t compete with the club teams like MDlaxx, Crabs, VLC, and Bw.
