+1 The homes may be "modest" by Potomac standards, but they cost a bundle specifically because you are paying a segregation tax to access a neighborhood and schools untouched by the masses. [/quote]

It depends when you bought. We couldn't afford our house now but bought it for $250,000 when we had our first child.[/quote]
