So am I the only one who thinks Amazon/Bezos is trying to influence this election? Why in the world do the Post (owned by Amazon) endorse Blair twice? It's just bizarre.
Probably because they understand that private jobs and Corporations are not evil. One of your candidates does not get that and The Post does not want him to win.
+1 Probably because most of the other candidates are MoCo swamp creatures. Leventhal isn't very bright, and Berliner while smarter, is completely unresponsive to constituents and in the pocket of developers.
So, Leventhal has a PhD in Public Policy with a dissertation on homelessness, so I guess by not very bright you simply mean you don't agree with his positions? Also, your reasoning on Berliner doesn't make a lot of sense. On regional issues, the Post is pro-developer and pro-swamp. Hell, it basically *is* the swamp. So if Berliner is, as you suggest, reliably bought and paid for, why would the Post have supported newcomer Blair over him?
He’s a giant asshole who is aggressive towards others in his job. Good luck with his new career. He also mostly redirects all of the taxpayer funds towards social issue causes that hecdeems worthy and towards areas with more social issues. The residents who are paying these huge taxes in Montgomery County are largely middle class and working hard and sacrificing to live here expecting good infrastructure , good, uncrowded schools , things like neighborhood Rec centers , reasonable traffic. Instead just the opposite is happening and at a very good clip. You can’t just take people’s money, redirect it to those that you have decided are deserving (and label you , the taxpayer, as basically ‘evil’) and expect people to stay living in said district (or, not protesting) and for businesses to thrive in said district. And frankly - it’s not that hard to get a PhD in public policy but you go ahead and worship him. Enjoy that.
