I am anything but dim.  The outrage on this forum seems to be aimed at Brigitte being a retiree or debilitated by the time her baby is a young adult.   Or heaven forbid, she is dead by the time her baby has children and deprives them of a grandmother.

Does anyone say such things about Alec or George?

If Alec and George were taking hormone shots, walking around with pregnant bellies and trying to put their aging, older middle aged bodies through labor and delivery, they would also be getting eye rolls.  As it is, they both have younger wives who are of natural child bearing age who are doing the physical work of pregnancy.
