I am anything but dim. The outrage on this forum seems to be aimed at Brigitte being a retiree or debilitated by the time her baby is a young adult. Or heaven forbid, she is dead by the time her baby has children and deprives them of a grandmother.

Does anyone say such things about Alec or George?


If Alec and George were taking hormone shots, walking around with pregnant bellies and trying to put their aging, older middle aged bodies through labor and delivery, they would also be getting eye rolls. As it is, they both have younger wives who are of natural child bearing age who are doing the physical work of pregnancy.

It's so obvious when people have twins with a first pregnancy in their 40's and I'd bet money that she used donor eggs. The defensiveness gives it away.

Well because biologically men can father children at those ages.... and before people talk about the implications of using older sperm...99% of this children are perfectly fine.

PPP, Brigitte is married to her baby's father. If there is a health problem with her or the baby, I would assume he will care for her and their baby. He is only 39 years old. I would expect that her other children would be involved in this child's life, too.

Why can't you be happy for her? Must everyone be judged? Is it any of your business?

uhhh...you are aware that 45 is not 54, right?

I'm 2 years younger than Brigette Nielsen and I think she's nuts for a having a baby at her age when she already has adult children. There will be a 34 year age difference between her oldest child and her youngest child. She will be 88 years old when her youngest is 34.


What’s your point? When my dad was 88, I was 39. He was sharp as a tack until he died 2 years later. We had years of quality time together.


You were very lucky to have a dad who was sharp as a tack, and I'm assuming healthy and independent, until he died at the age of 90. Just be aware that there are nursing homes full of elderly people who are a decade or more younger than your father was when he died.

Bridget Nielsen has the good fortune of having 4 healthy, adult children who will very likely be giving her grandchildren soon if they haven't already. She will quite literally be of retirement village age on her next birthday. Why on earth does she need to be pregnant at her age? Doesn't she realize that she very literally looks like a pregnant senior citizen which is just bizarre and will get no less bizarre as she continues to age? What exactly is she trying to prove? What happens if she has some sort of major health setback during labor and delivery? Will it be up to her adult children to take care of the baby while they try to find appropriate care for their mother?

And do realize, that while your dad likely naturally fathered you, Bridgette Nielsen has almost certainly had some sort of heavy duty medical intervention to make this pregnancy happen. She's selfish.



My dad was 30 and my mom was 27 when I was born. They both died before I turned 35. Life and death are unpredictable. Pp sounds like she had an amazing life with her father and she enjoyed a few more years with him than I got with my own amazing dad.
