Of course a 50+ year old man can find a 30 year old who wants money spent on her. That is what warrants an eye roll by the siblings. He wants us to fist bump him or something. The daughters find it creepy and uncomfortable, their words not mine, but I get it. There are always going to be those men and women - I know 50 year old women who have 25 year old boyfriends - but be realistic about yourselves. I don't doubt there are true love exceptions, but mostly it's an ego thing.

OP is probably not going to be interested in that kind of man anyway. She wants advice on how to meet someone at her age and wonders whether it's possible. It definitely is easier for twenties and thirties to meet someone either online or organically through friends meeting up. Her dating pool may or may not be comfortable or familiar with online dating. As a mother of teenagers, she's not going to be hanging out in hip neighborhoods or partying it up with a bunch of other singles. Though it seems as though if she waits a bit...she can live it up in the retirement communities!
