I think she should at least wash her lady bits and armpits daily - not very oily, so no excuse there
You're not supposed to use soap on your lady bits, ever!!
This is not true. You're not supposed to use soap inside your vagina, but you absolutely can use soap on your inner and outer labia.
Incorrect. Using soap on your mucus membranes causes sever stinging. Are you even a woman?
NP and yes a woman. Soap does not sting your inner and outer labia. That is so foul that you don’t use soap to clean yourself. Yuck
It absolutely does sting your inner labia. I found this out the hard way when I was three.
You got soap in your VAGINA, that was not your inner labia. Don't put soap into your vagina and you'll be fine.
Nope, my inner labia. Did you not read the response from the doctor above? “Do not use soap in/on your vagina. The skin is different there”.
You (and apparently the doctor) need a lesson in basic anatomy. The labia and the vagina are not the same thing.
Do not be pedantic, you know exactly what is being shed. How tiresome.
Not being pedantic at all. People on this forum seem to use the terms interchangeably and the doctor certainly wasn't precise in what s/he was saying. In any event from the Mayo Clinic: Wash your external genital area: During regular baths or showers, use a very small amount of mild, unscented soap and lots of water. Avoid douching: All healthy vaginas contain bacteria and yeast. The normal acidity of your vagina keeps bacteria and yeast in check. But douching can actually upset this delicate balance.
