It's possible that this particular 12-year-old is wrong.  A lot of girls have same-sex crushes at this age, and aren't actually lesbian or bi. If you think that it's possible for a 12-year-old girl to know that she is attracted to members of the opposite sex, then it's possible for her to know that she's attracted to both members of the opposite sex and her own sex.  I suppose you can believe that girls that age can't possibly know that they are straight, but most people don't think that.  Kids that age have crushes and are attracted to others.  [/quote]
