Plus, it costs about $80,000 to $100,000 to come here and have a baby.  Are you saying that someone spends that kind of money in the hope that if they go broke 25 years in the future, their kid can sponsor them and they can move to the US and qualify for $170 a month in SNAP-- for their entire family-- after the mandatory 5 year waiting period.  Seems like they could come up with a better plan. Like putting the money in a savings account or an index fund. They would definately have $170 a month 30 years later.
