Your child has to actually meet a listing for a disability to qualify for SSI assistance, and no, just "being a baby" doesn't qualify. They need to have a disability. Being preterm/low birthweight does qualify (for a while) but then the qualification can get lifted (as happened here). And of course preterm birth is more frequent in low income moms with poor prenatal care. Why would you allow your adult daughter to get pregnant three times? My guess is lack of access to a permanent form of birth control. Probably no Planned Parenthood or other clinic nearby, little access to affordable family planning (or abortion services.) More children do increase the amount of assistance you might get from WIC for food.[/quote]
