My neighbors and I are so tired of asking rude people to keep their dogs away from our homes. But we can't be there all the time and some pet owners are just inconsiderate. I've had to hose down the mailbox so many times because it smells. I heard that chili powder works really well at keeping dogs out, but I'm afraid a child might get into it. Does anyone have any idea what I can use? I know they have some products on amazon, but two of my neighbors tried them all and nothing really works, so everyone is talking about the chili powder. Any feedback would be welcomed, thank you in advance!
I forgot what it's called, but here is the concept - it's a battery operated device, and a wire (buried in mulch in your case). When the dog or human pees on the wire device delivers mild electric shock up the stream right to the garden of good and evil. It's harmless, but very unpleasant. Was first used on drunks that peed in the elevators (in Japan ?) and worked wonders.
