First - chocking can be silent so it may have taken a few minutes for it to register with a teacher and even the other kids that something happened, Another issue is that learning the hemlich maneuver in a classroom on a dummy and then actually performing it correctly and with success in a panic situation are two different things, I doubt my ability to do it and have had CPR training many times. You don't actually practice the maneuver enough and it is possible to do it wrong and produce no result,[/quote]
