Thank you!!  :lol:   I know this is DCUM, but the hotel's decision to put secondary locks on the doors is totally and completely out of my control.  I'm more concerned about WHY someone would think it's acceptable to enter a hotel room at all at 8am with the guest still in the room [/quote]

They probably assume travelers use the "do not disturb" sign [b]AND also lock the extra interior lock[/b] (as most travelers do). I'm sure that the hotel woman was as surprised as OP. She will probably file a complaint herself. [/quote]

If someone is in a room without an interior lock (if that even exists, never seen it and travel frequently), you would expect some to be [i]especially[/i] likely to use the do not disturb sign.[/quote]
