Do you really think a potential Prep or Gonzaga kid would consider SJC? Facilities, history, academics, coaching....all far better at Gonzaga and Prep than at SJC. Even w the Plank money that wont change, no? Agreed re: OLGC - the two schools are on par facilities-wise and close academically. [/quote]

Some definitely wouldn't for the reasons you articulated, but others will.  Some of those kids will be BW kids who want to Trig as their HS coach as well.  Some will opt for STJ because they will see the field sooner.

And - gasp - some will pick STJ because, despite what you wrote, they actually like that school best.[/quote]

Also, St. John's is really inexpensive for a private school in this area -- very much so compared to Prep, and significantly less expensive even than Gonzaga.  Money's not always an object, of course, but I think the cost of Prep has really made a difference the past decade.[/quote]
