BTW, how does any kid who bio-bands get recruited if recruiting by grade is absolute?
They don't, which is what multiple MLSN people have said. Being a biobanded player is the kiss of death for playing professionally or in college.
No it's not It's why you were biobanded How you perform while biobanded How you performed after being biobanded, because no one biobands past U16 Its your new size past puberty and performance
Why dont clubs bioband past u16?
Because by U16 most if not all players have hit puberty If you're a really late developer, then a top college ain't looking at you anyway.
Appreciate the honest response 👍 Exactly like I said. Pro clubs and College coaches doesnt take players playing down seriously. Which is why MLSN doesnt bioband past u16. Chalk another one up for reality.
They take the individual player seriously based on the players performance Not their label There are many European Pro Players who were playing down as late as U18 Though, in several European countries, they actually have International Youth 'B' teams for only biobanded players Kevin De Bruyne was on one and many others
Completely makes sense. Many MLSN coaches hold the keys to the kingdom for players unfortunately. At least with boys/mens soccer talent usually makes itself known and trumps the coaching buddy system. Interesting that in other countries players playing down get put on the B team thats their age not the A team a age/level down.
They do put them on an age lower down for biobanding It's at the older ages they have specific International teams and competitions for just late developers It is not "lower level" quality and skills. It is smaller players.
I didnt mean to infer lower level quality. I was just calling out that when things become serious biobanders no longer play down on A teams. They have their own league likely with players close to their age.
