+1. Actually Romantic could’ve been a great song if she tweaked just a couple of lyrics to throw shade at Trump’s tweets or haters in general. She has one of the largest platforms in the world and could bring awareness to all sorts of issues, yet she uses it for inconsequential drivel. At least heartbroken Taylor used to write beautifully wistful love songs that people could relate to.

It's also classic mean girl gaslighting. It's the kind of argument someone makes when they know they are in the wrong but wants to distract from that fact by discrediting their accuser. "Why are you obsessed with me?" "You're just jealous." "I was joking, can't you take a joke?"

And Taylor obsessives who defend her no matter what immediately fall in line, argue Charli must have done something we don't know about to deserve this. This is a schoolyard dynamic and it should be waaaaaaaay beneath someone in Taylor's position.[/quote]
