problem is there are kids (maybe even parents?) who really thinking Yorktown can compete.
They can complete they are the 6A State* Champs. Parents should recognize. Only as a public school the parents should know not any one can attend you have to live in the right code.
*public school. Cannot compete with privates.
Sure they can. Would beat Potomac, Flint Hill, O'Connell, Ireton, SMR, etc. They'd would have given St. Alban's and Episcopal good games. This year they'll have another good team but I think they are in trouble in goal. Riverside would beat all but the top 4 in each of the WCAC and IAC.
Riverside would not beat #5 Heights (WCAC) or #5/6 Episcopal/Albans (IAC) and that is a fact. Nor would any Va or MD public school
Ok. The backups of the good schools would crush St Albans. They are bad. Yorktown even has 2 D1 commits at pole and 3rd from NL ‘22. St Albans has an ‘23 LSM that actually can’t defend at all. Heights has a goalie and that’s about it. Won’t come within 10 of SJC or GZ. Schools like STA and Heights should schedule Riverside, Robinson, and Yorktown. Better than playing O’Connell or Ireton.
