I firmly stick by my feelings about FCV. The only thing that could change that is if the play-ups come back on age and we all know that is not going to happen.

VDA is the only big question as to what kind of player pool they were able to get, I honestly don't know but they usually have strong teams moving into 11v11.

As for Maryland, Pipeline took the top Baltimore Union Players and the best Celtic players went to Baltimore Armour. So yes, Celtic Union GA is going to struggle. Baltimore Armour will be the top GA team in the DMV.

Metro will be middle of the pack, again, pending the current '09 play-ups. If those players do not play on age, Metro could very well be below FCV. Great Falls did not have a great season and I do not know how many are making the change to Metro or moving to other Clubs.

Here is your “pre-season” hype. Arlington has certainly over performed. Union has underperformed this far. I didn’t see anywhere that any Bethesda parent claimed they were better than Loudoun? So, no, there was no pre-season hype about Bethesda. The only hype was for Arlington and Union.

I don't know why I keep responding to someone who doesn't understand what strength of schedule means...truly stupid. Why do I have to own you people time after time after. [b]I'll say it for 500x, nobody has ever said Bethesda can beat Loudoun this entire fall season. Like ever. [/b] If you are trying to downplay Bethesda as compared to others, here:

3x vs #24 Loudoun (Nobody has beaten Loudoun in DMV this fall)
1x vs #4 PDA Blue (Same thing would happen to any team in DMV)
1x vs #75 Lower Merion who they then went on to beat 3-1 the next time they played.

Bethesda ties:
1x vs #37 Penn Fusion (Oh the horror, a tie to a very good team)
1x vs #205 MD United (yes, go ahead and judge the team from this one game if that truly makes you feel better)

I don't need to describe anyone else's season as they are all less than Arlington's and Bethesda's. Just stop trying to downplay Bethesda or painting picture like myself or anyone else said they were going to be world beaters. You can go to other threads for that.

The only team in the DMV that did better is Loudoun. No other team in the DMV can even compare based on strength of schedule. It's not even close. 15 games played against Top 100 teams with 5 wins versus Arlington's 3 games played and zero Top 100 wins. Please don't make me explain how strength of schedule works again, instead, please google it. It's not rocket science. I welcome you to come back and claim ownership of #2 or #1 once you beat Loudoun this Spring. Until then you have no leg to stand on.
