I hope the Democrat school board realizes what will happen, especially in Dranesville, if One Fairfax is anything close to what Voices of Fairfax suggested. There are a lot of people that felt they had to vote Democrat this time due to the poor alternatives. That won't be the case next time if things are not handled correctly. Parents in Dranesville are energized to make sure their tax dollars are spent wisely and voices are heard. Elaine Tholen are you listening? We won't be a political punching bag anymore (see: McLean boundary voting this year).[/quote]

We live in Great Falls and they barely have a following here except maybe at the fringe. The Fairfax GOP is probably the funding source for them. But they are probably shutting down the spigots. [/quote]

Just noting that if the Voices of Fairfax was the fringe in Great Falls and they were strongly against boundary changes, then the majority must not be against potential changes. So if the new school were to be built out in Western Fairfax, Great Falls would be OK with going to Herndon? Not arguing it should be done at this time.[/quote]

I’ll tell you why you’re not getting through - because you keep contradicting yourself.  And btw, I live in Great Falls too.  The point of VoF was to keep the boundaries as they are - “change the school board, not the boundaries”. That’s what they were advocating for.  You’re claiming that they are a “fringe group,” yet most people in GF agree the boundaries shouldn’t change.  So which is it?  If they express the view of the majority of GF residents, then they are not a “fringe group”.   :roll: [/quote]
