It's the sort of thing that sounds good only until you play out the implications. Given that they found the murder weapon on him, there's no plausible path to claiming reasonable doubt. And jury nullification is exceedingly rare, particularly in murder trials. An unsympathetic victim may make a jury more likely to find reasonable doubt, but there has to be some doubt to begin with.[/quote]
