The 2009 Arlington Super Y (ECNL) team played up a year in 2008 going 1-2 with 6 GF to 9 GA. Arlington beat the mighty 2008 NVSC team 3-2 which has a lower rating than the 2009 Loudoun RED RL team. They did play Internationals ECNL which is very good, but it showed with a 6-1 loss. [b]Internationals 2008 ECNL is rated identical to the #2 2009 Matchfit ECNL team.[/b] They finished up with a 2-1 win over Crystal Lake Force who is rated between VYS and FCV GA 2009 teams.

The Bethesda Super Y (ECNL) team played on age going 5-0 with 21 GF to 1 GA. It started with a 5-1 win over Liverpool ECNL who also had the starting forward and goalie for Michigan Hawks. Liverpool is currently rated similar to SYC Blue Academy without those players. Second was Next Level, a team rated slightly above Loudoun RED RL, a 4-0 win  Third, Bethesda won 7-0 over Wisconsin Rush, slighty higher than SYC Blue. Semis were a win over Virginia Union Composite, some it's top ECNL Players, a girl who plays for 2009 Alexandria MLS Next, and other good 2009s, win 2-0. Finals were against #46 rated Evolution Mercurial Complete team where Bethesda came out on top 3-0. Evolution Mercurial is currently rated only two spots behind Arlington 2009 ECNL team.

So, that is what you need to know about Super Y Finals. Make of it whatever you want. One thing we can all agree on is that the level of competition with the exception of a very few teams, was less than stellar. To spend that kind of money to go this tournament is absolutely absurd. Maybe one or two teams from each age group would make the top two divisions at Jefferson Cup only.

Now, anyone care to discuss how the 2009 FC Virginia team is feeling after going to California for it's first time?

No, I'm saying most of the teams were not very good except a for a few. Yes, it is technically a National Title...for summer league teams. Most parents from the Bethesda 2009 team would have much rather done an ECNL showcase but were forced to do Super Y Finals instead. That was not under our control and was a club decision. Also, nobody has said anything about being the best around, just showing the Arlington comment was very shallow but that could be just another troll.

Again, Loudoun is the top team in DMV until proven otherwise for the '21-'22 season. There is no debate. [/quote]
