^^He basically threatened to have his baby and wife murdered if he did not comply. I have to say, though creep, I loved seeing the "old Jamie" back. He's been too anodyne lately. But his deep bond with Brienne is also a beautiful thing.
That part was pretty faithful to the books. There was more to Jaime's threats in the books (having former Tully allies being the first to scale the walls and die when the Lannister army stormed the castle, etc.), but again because of the nature of the medium the show writers had to take some shortcuts. My questions are: 1) with Jaime at the head of the Lannister army, and the kick-ass Queen of Thorns back at Highgarden, what armies does little King Tommen have at this point? And is Cersei now the head of House Lannister (with Tyrion on the run) or Jaime, now that he's eligible since he's been removed from the Kingsguard? 2) if Cersei gets judged (as Tommen has now declared), won't it come out that Tommen's real father is Jaime, and that therefore Tommen's kingship is illegitimate? And with Stannis (and Shireen) and Renly now dead, who would inherit the Iron Throne? http://mashable.com/2016/05/03/game-thrones-heir/#wB4oYHuWLuqt
One of the 'rumors' people think Cersei might have been discussing with Qyburn is the location of Gendry. He is Robert Baratheon's bastard and therefore has more a claim to the iron throne than Tommen. Also, of course, they could be discussing Jon Snow, although I doubt that she would risk putting a true Stark on the throne, too risky. But a random blacksmith apprentice? More appealing for sure.
