[/quote] When you factor in the kids, mostly legacies, who are not necessarily as "smart" as the naturally genius kids, then I would not assume that the 1% is fully equated with the list of top 25 or whatever is being called "elite" - fact is there are a variety of reasons kids will go to any school, cost, location, setting, etc. Yes, these schools are very hard to gain entry, but mostly because they simply don't take that many kids, there are only so many seats or dorm slots. But that doesn't mean there aren't a ton of brilliant to very smart/hard working kids any most of the other schools across the country.[/quote]
