It is extremely ignorant to think that black fathers aren't present and that the scene with the black dads is idealized. [b]Is your life completely void of black men at work, at your children's schools, socially, etc? Are you saying that Jack isn't the idealized white dad or all white fathers just like Jack?[/b] It's so easy for you to get articles and post them, but do you spend anytime in the black community, at their schools, at their churches, etc. But instead of considering or just using common sense to realize that black fathers are  involved with their children, you'd rather hang on to stereotypes. I know plenty of dads like the ones in the dojo and like Randall. If you don't personally know any it doesn't mean they don't exist.[/quote]

On the contrary. My life is and has been full of black men and families, and i can tell you that in the 70s and 80s it wasn't all happy families until the drug gangs of the 90s. This is a far deeper set issue within the AA community.
