It’s a very different vibe from Jen’s past circles, but maybe Jen’s genuinely struggling to fit in anywhere anymore. I’m sure that’s really tough. She is no longer the super wife and mom that fits right in with her neighbor friends who have all been raising kids together and gathering weekly for years—everyone else is married and leading quieter lives. Her work world has made her horizon so much bigger than the rest of theirs and she travels a lot too. She is no longer church active. She probably neglected the college friends a bit as her schedule got busier. They used to take girls trips annually. And she probably can’t go as deep in conversation with the internet influencers anymore—the online personalities and authors who have their annual retreat together. What does Jen even say to them at this point? Faith isn’t her platform anymore—she shills cosmetics, CBD, bedsheets, and clothes. And Tyler’s friends just aren’t interested in her.

Her family (parents/siblings and kids) are always there for her though. Still, Jen experiencing severe loneliness would make sense. I hope she will back out of the public eye. She needs to cultivate healthy relationships again, not worry about cultivating her social media content. This current state of mind that she’s in needs love that no “audience” can give.[/quote]
