I think it was closer to 10 ;) But with SO much of life returned to normal, its difficult for people to make a protest at 3:00 on a workday. We shouldn't a failed rally to reflect the will of the county
SO much of life returned to normal, huh? It's always hard to for people to make a protest at 3:00 pm on a workday, which kinda raises the question: what fools would decide that 3:00 pm on a workday was a good time to have a protest?
Well, yeah, so much has. Outside of schools, most everything has returned in some capacity. What else hasn't?
If that's your standard for normal life, I don't know what to say.
You can start by stop being obtuse. I clearly said "returned in some capacity". I didnt say returned to normal life. So what, outside of schools, has not returned in some capacity?
That is exactly why we cannot open safely.
But why? I know the virus is still here. But we accept that the virus is going to be here for another 18-24 months, and we agree that the status quo is not acceptable for SOME families, then what's to be done? The numbers are good right now and well within health recommendations to begin re-opening. If not now, then when?
You realize the issue is that you are acting in a selfish way now putting your needs first so we cannot reopen as your unsafe behavior impacts everyone. You are back to normal and your normal is part of why the virus is spreading. If we could have stayed on lock down and stopped the spread maybe we could have safely gone back.
You say I'm acting selfish, I say I'm doing what's right for my family. For 6 months we put the needs of everyone else first and nobody even have a passing thought to the health or who being of my family or my children. It's been all about them. Well, after seeing my children spiral into depression, I'm putting them first, not my hypothetical obese asthmatic neighbor. So yeah, we'll play soccer and baseball and softball and go to the playground. Because I'm done caring about my neighbors when they don't have the decency to do the same for us
What is going on with your family if spending time together and staying home creates depression? You sound like a nasty person and that’s probably why it’s not working and why we cannot return! You’d be the parent to send your sick kid anywhere for a break.
DP. You think this person sounds nasty? I really think you sound nasty by being so judgmental. You're completely following the playbook that goes, "What's wrong with you? Try being a good parent like me. Why did you have kids in the first place? You just want free childcare." Did I get the whole spiel right?
It's probably one person posting all those messages across threads.
It is odd that there are so many posts here stating the same thing over and over but when there have been protests for this only a handful of people showed up. This indicates there's very little real support.
Not one person demanding we can go back safely can suggest a plan to get us back safely.
