As a result, there really isn't likely to be a group of 5-6 girls from these clubs at Capital tryouts on Wednesday. 
 
And before someone suggests that this sounds defensive, it's not. I would say that there are some Capital folks who would welcome them, who support a meritocracy and the goal of fielding the best possible teams. Just a lot of barriers to this happening (logistical, timing issues, knowledge of opportunity and history with recruiting support and coaching, etc.). And Capital takes it's commitment to its players very seriously.  Maybe it's a brave new world and this is the year for dramatic, disruptive moves, but I would imagine that any changes will be incremental.[/quote]
